New Year, New Blog!
I’ve been wanting to give it a good makeover for a while now, but life happens, as we all know! So, in case things look a little funky when you stop by to visit this week, construction is under way!🙂
I have been through an awful lot these past 2 years, things that have forced me to step back and start all over again, literally. Sometimes, as scary as it can be, really starting over is the most invigorating and refreshing thing in the world. To know that I can be whoever I want to be, move wherever I want to move, travel, eat, love. The possibilities are endless, and I am so ready for 2016.
Today I started a 10 day sugar detox with my friend. It is going to be a challenge, for sure. It’s hard to avoid, it’s in everything we eat now a-days! This means no sugar, even natural sugars (only from fruits or things with fiber), no white carbohydrates or things that will act like sugar in the body. I am going to document it all, because I really want to share this with you. Already I’ve noticed a lot of crazy things! This detox is more of a reset, and also has a lot to do with cooking from scratch, and the most amazing documentary I’ve ever seen about added sugars in food. More on that later!
While I’m in the process of the makeover, I’d like to hear your opinions! Part of me still loves the vintage look of the site, but as I’ve gotten older, crisp, clean and fresh seems better. Also, what kinds of recipes and things do you want to see?
